Responsible Gambling
Last updated: 21 October 2025
Gambling should feel like a light diversion, not a sprint or a rescue plan. If play starts to feel urgent, tense, or like the answer to a non-gaming problem, that’s the moment to slow down. This page sets out how the Platform supports healthy play under Dutch standards, what you can switch on yourself, and what we do when our systems spot risk.
What we stand for
Entertainment comes first. That commitment shows up in clear information, realistic promotions, and controls that favour your long-term wellbeing over short-term activity. We never extend credit for gambling, and we would rather see you pause than push on when it’s not fun. If we have to choose between more play and safer play, we choose safety.
Who may play—and who must not
Real-money games are strictly for adults. Access is blocked where online gambling isn’t lawful at the moment you try to play. Where a statutory self-exclusion regime applies, such as Cruks in the Netherlands, an active entry means real-money features stay off for the full exclusion period. Bypassing age or location checks breaks the rules and can lead to restrictions.
Keeping control: practical tools
You can limit deposits, losses, and wagering to protect your budget on a good or bad streak. Lower limits take effect immediately, while higher limits take effect after a cooling-off time so you can think clearly. If time slips, add a session timer and periodic reality checks that show time spent and net outcome, with one-click options to breach or harden boundaries. Short time-outs let you analyze your history and suspend real-money gambling for a timeframe. If you require a longer break, self-exclusion prevents games, deposits, and promotional messaging for the full period. When a nationwide register applies, premature cancellation is not allowed.
Our duty of care in action
Most sessions are harmless fun, but some patterns suggest pressure is rising. Very long sessions, rapid redeposits, sudden jumps in stake size, repeated attempts to raise limits, or play right after a large loss are typical warning signs. We watch for those trends with privacy-aware analytics and respond in stages that match the level of concern. Early steps are gentle nudges and contextual messages recommending limits or a short break. If signals remain high, we introduce friction—temporary restrictions on higher-risk products and mandatory pauses. Persistent risk can lead to locking real-money features and guiding you towards self-exclusion. These interventions are about preventing harm, not punishment, and they are logged for accountability.
Affordability and payment integrity
Dutch Wwft rules and general AML/CFT expectations require us to ensure that payments make sense and that play levels are sustainable. We don’t accept third-party funding and we don’t offer loans. Sometimes we will ask for light-touch evidence that the way you play is affordable for you. If documents aren’t available or don’t line up with recent activity, we reduce access to real-money features until the picture is clear.
Promotions with boundaries
Bonuses are optional and time-limited. We do not personalise offers to encourage chasing losses, and we suppress marketing for anyone who has self-excluded or displays strong risk indicators. If a promotion starts to feel like pressure rather than fun, opt out of marketing in your profile and consider lowering limits or taking a time-out. Any active bonus must never override safer-play protections.
Minors and shared environments
Under-18s cannot use real-money features. If you share devices, keep your login private and use ordinary parental-control settings to restrict access to age-sensitive content. Never allow someone else to play through your account; you are responsible for activity that follows your credentials.
Data, privacy and fairness
We analyse gameplay, session length, deposit and withdrawal patterns, and certain device signals to detect risk early. This processing relies on legal bases recognised by the GDPR and Dutch AVG/UAVG—legal obligation, legitimate interests, and, where relevant, consent. We keep only what is needed, for as long as it is needed, and we do not sell player data for unrelated advertising. Game outcomes are produced by server-side random number generation; short-term streaks don’t predict the next round, so decide your stop point before you start and treat wins as pleasant surprises rather than plans.
If play doesn’t feel right today
Give yourself permission to stop. Lock in tighter limits that match this month’s budget, switch on reality checks every fifteen to thirty minutes, and take a same-day time-out so emotions can settle. If urges feel hard to control, choose self-exclusion; the block lasts for the full period and also suppresses promotional messaging. After a break, review your history with a calm head before deciding whether to return.
How we keep ourselves accountable
We train support and risk teams to handle safer-play conversations without judgement. Product changes and promotions go through a safety review before launch. We test the timing and clarity of our interventions so prompts appear when they are most useful. When the data says “slow down,” we slow things down—even if you didn’t ask us to.
Straight answers to common questions
Self-exclusion cannot be cancelled early and follows the full period set in your account or required by law. Limits apply across devices linked to your profile; if a change doesn’t appear immediately, sign out and back in to refresh. Requests for affordability information happen because a combination of recent behaviour and legal duties makes a quick check appropriate; if you can’t provide it, we will limit real-money features to protect you. If you set a limit that feels too strict, remember that raising it takes time by design, so decisions aren’t made in the heat of the moment.
A short checklist to finish
Decide your budget before you log in. Set limits that match it. Use reality checks so you always know how long you’ve been playing and how the session is going. Never chase a loss. If play stops feeling like entertainment, step away, and use the strongest protection that keeps you safe.
